There’s aren’t many reasons why the return of the academic term should bring a smile to many. However, ‘Sessions’ can be said to be one of them!

It’s seemed like quite a while since our Wednesday night debauchery hasn’t it? However, Sessions returns with a tough, bumper four week line-up to kickstart April into May!

This week, we commence proceedings with Shan, myself, Ben Stevens, Jodie Schofield, Double A.

Goodgreef’s deck-diamond Shan has propelled and excelled. Mixing a blend of tough tech-trance, pounding trance, hard trance and everything in between, you could pick a reputable hard dance brand out of a hat and he’s played it. At the same time as holding down his important Goodgreef residency, Shan has had the tough task of mixing the Goodgreef compilations and coping with a surge in media interest. Incidentally, for his (probable) most recent interview, you can check www.energyuk.net where I fired the questions at him a few months ago, for more information.

Climbing high up the hard dance ladder is Ben Stevens. Working for and associated with Vicious Circle, Ben’s diary sees him jetting up and down the country with his trademark hard sound. A firm Sessions favourite and quickly becoming known as one of the most tightest mixers and consistent performers in the industry.

Jodie Schofield and Double A (as well as myself) complete a strong five-man line up in the main room.

For a damn good, midweek house music thrash-up, you’re going to be hard pushed to beat ‘House Sessions’. Favouring the more vocal, disco-tinged house (with appropriately timed deeper vibes) the atmosphere in the ‘back room’ is often unrivalled. Part of this is attributed to our awesome resident – Filthy Rich. We took Rich on after the closure of ‘Base’ at the start of term and since then Rich has become an immense favourite with punters and industry alike – you’ll note that the house part of the Nukleuz DJ Agency has just snapped him up! Enough said really!

Tom Paton, who himself can boast ‘Goodgreef’ and many more as his ‘has-played’s completes one hell of a lineup for the opening week back!

£1 bottles of Carling, Java, Fosters; along with £1.20 spirit and mixers should see you crying out for a fry-up on Thursday morning too.

Hope you’ve all had a good Easter.

Now, who can we expect to resume ‘business as usual’ on Wednesdays?
