CTW DJs Tony P Posted December 18, 2002 CTW DJs Share Posted December 18, 2002 I've always used Stanton 500 AL's, think they are really good, but some newer ones may be better.

CTW Members neet Posted December 19, 2002 CTW Members Share Posted December 19, 2002 I just bought the stanton 500L's too, cos mine had shite carts on...cheap n cheerful, but bloody great if you ask me!
CTW Members Nick G Posted December 19, 2002 CTW Members Share Posted December 19, 2002 Totally agree with Pony T and Neet - i've been using the 500AL's since i've had my decks and can honestly say i've never had any probs with them. Personally i found it difficult to get used to using the Concorde type stylus after so long of using my Stantons that i gave up, and to be honest, the sound quality isn't noticably better indoors anyway - extra money for nothing, as far as i'm concerned. CTW Members TomD Posted December 28, 2002 Author CTW Members Share Posted December 28, 2002 hell yes, hence it being in "DJs and Producers". cheers for the suggestions everybody ... my needles do need replacing, and i could probably just get some new needles, full stop, end of story, but i thought since i was spending money anyway, i might as well "upgrade", so to speak, if it's worth it (from my stanton 500s). the ortofon's look good but not the nightclub ones, a tad too expensive for my budget. would anyone recommend the stanton trackmasters? CTW Members Stevie_wonder Posted January 4, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted January 4, 2003 concordes are the best, miles better than my 500's or the 505's Quote ITWILLALLWAYSBEWITHYOU
CTW Members Nimbus Posted February 8, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted February 8, 2003 Concordes DJs are great for clubs with wooden floors that move around and make stantons jump. Stick like glue! Checkem out... http://www.hollywooddj.com/orcondj.html ... But I use Stanton D5100AL-IIs or Just the 500-II. Works Good, sounds good, price good. Good, Good, and Good.
