Sunday School 15th Dec

Many clubbers described Sunday Schools christmas special at the Bomb as "perfect". This indeed seemed to sum up the night, except it was cut short by selfish clubbers who had no respect for the venue or other people.

As we entered the club we were greeted by really friendly staff who went out of their way to make you feel welcome and have a good time. The club itself was empty apart from a few early stompers lining the sides of the dance floor, and initially quite cold, but it sooned warmed up as did the atmosphere.

From the word "go" the music was hard and banging at 160bpm and when Ian M banged out "bad ass", the few people there took to the dance floor with looks of sheer delight and the roof was lifted.

A couple of hours into the night more people came in, still not enough to fill the relatively small club, however this almost made the atmosphere even better as everyone spoke to everyone. The club was quite dark which was pleasing to the eye after a heavy weekend. Initially the lighting was not spectacular but in later sets the lasers were turned on, smoke machines activated and the night didnt seem like it could get much better.

The only criticism that i would have of the club is the lack of a chill out room. The VIP area was however the most relaxing and comfy place in the world with leather sofas and "bubble walls". At first the bouncers seemed accomodating letting everyone into the VIP area, but as more peole arrived the room became to crowed and only the "special guests" were allowed in. The clubbers did not seem to bothered by this fact and most took to the dance floor once again.

The night seemed to be flying by and we took small comfort in the fact that there was still amother 85 mins to go when suddenly the music stopped, the lights came on and the dance floor was filled with clubbers shouting "one more"...but no more was played. It turns out that the womans toilets,(which both men and woman were using), had been trashed and the ceiling pulled down. All that can be said about these people is that they were obviously not there for the music or atmosphere and intented to shorten the night for everyone. In my opinion everything about a clubbing night should be appreciated from the music to the actual venue itself.

If you are expecting a club full of people, then sunday school is not ideally for you, however if you want banging tunes, friendly people, atmosphere and a decent smart club on a sunday afternoon (and lets face it who doesnt), you will love this night. In conclusion an overall great effort from the staff and DJs, we would definaltely go again.

Best moment- Constant baging out of quality tunes. Hardest set played by JP and Juksey.

Worst moment- The night being ended early.

Most memorable tunes- "Revolution" and "Music is the drug" played by Nick Rafferty and another one of BKs tunes "Pos 51" banged out by Illogik.
