CTW Members Mr Happy Posted April 20, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted April 20, 2004 the word techy seems to get used and abused alot i find. especially in the faster genres. i've noticed that anything repatative and minimal is called techy these days and most of the stuff doesnt sound the least bit influenced by techno i was just wondering what you would call techy hardhouse/etc and if you can think of any good examples. CTW DJs Ian Cashman Posted April 20, 2004 CTW DJs Share Posted April 20, 2004 (edited) well personally im not gonna start getting stupid about it Laurence.... if someone was to say to me thay thought something sounded techy i would instantly assume assume it has some mettallic sounding filtered drums in it... Techy is a good a fucking word as any to me techno-ey and techy are pretty much two different things to me... .. ...as are snobby and anal i am snobby you are anal Edited April 20, 2004 by Ian Cashman

CTW DJs LiamStyles Posted April 20, 2004 CTW DJs Share Posted April 20, 2004 Well it seems as though no-one will ever agree on this kinda topic. CTW DJs LiamStyles Posted April 20, 2004 CTW DJs Share Posted April 20, 2004 and "techy" would be a term i would attatch to a track in another genre/style that leans toward a techno sound (to me) Quote LiamStyles Bet you look good on the dancefloor *LiamStyles - mixes on rotation* Current mix "No Concept Of Time" CLICK HERE
