NYD Sundissential north and beyond

Having saved my old fragile body for SS north on NYD by having a quiet one on NYE, i woke up feeling the wrong side of crap on new years day! First lesson of the new year, pointless to hold back.

 

Second lesson is that SUNDISSENTIAL NORTH just is the best club around. Both rooms boasted some of the best DJ's, most of whom are regulars at SS, and they help start the first day of 2003 with a bosh, bosh, bang!! It didnt take long before the lack of sleep and definate lack of alcohol from the night before were no longer an issue. My favs were Glazby, Rob T and Lee Haslem. But they were just my favourites in an AWESOME line up!!

 

WAs good to see matt and beckie in there, as well as the every present Miss PVC. And Claire, all dramas aside, you made it!!

 

Afterssential was at the Mint club. It was one of those nights I really didnt wanna stop. Rob T did another set there and it was easiely as good as the SS routine a few hours before.

 

Sadly reality called at 6:00am when the music stopped and the bouncers yelled OUT. But what a start to 2003.

What a New Year its been! I dont know where i got my energy to do Heat - London NYE, Sundissential Leeds NYD then Afterssential then the afterparty!

fuckin amazing! its the best place ever. both rooms kicked ass.

 

ian m, ilogik and glazby were brilliant as always

was wicked to hear nick rafferty play 'don't cross the line' and lee haslam play 'the dawn' in room2 - the dawn was very special

 

and who was on at about 7-8ish in the main room??!? they were SOOO good? got me into it straight away - nice one!

 

the mint club was mint too! very messy - lotsa fun

mark grey then, cos ilogik came on after him. he was fuckin amazing - i remembr walking through the doors and he was banging out cheap rent by karim. wow!

 

i remember making a tit out myself at the mint club by trying to talk to mark grey and not actually bein able to speak... eddie halliwell gave me a funny look too

I had a random moment in the (unisex) toilets with mark gray - he suddenly started asking me about a friend i used to [censored] with - proper mashed my head then i realised he used to Dj with him at glasshouse!

Hmmm, im pretty sure Mark Gray was on til 7 cos i was talkin to him after his set (i got there bout 6.30) thats the only idea i have about time and thats cos i knew what time i got off my train at lol!!

reminded me exactly what hard house should sound like

 

thanx to that set i'm now cutting down on my hard house clubbing nights as i cant be arsed with lame DJs spinning obvious tunes to win an easy audience ne more
