CTW Admin James Posted January 9, 2003 Author CTW Admin Share Posted January 9, 2003 I'm confused - some say I'm after "Bouncy", others say I'd after really "Hard" like glazby. I do love glazb's stuff a lot but i dont think i'm talking about that specifically - i guess i need to try and find some classic tunes somewhere so you all know what i'm talking about. They are really fast with a really rhthmic bouncy soft but loud bassline - so i guess its old bouncy classic hardhouse i'm after ?! I like my glazy stuff like the hardbox cd as well though. as i say the tunes played at the end of one sunny d i went to and at the end of heat nye in the corridoor are the ones i'm talking about - always played at the end and have ALWAYS got the crowd going again - so i cant understand why these aren't just played throughout the entire night as i for one would NEVER get bored of 'em. perhaps because i'm still new to hh music i'm actually into the 'older' stuff at the mo ? who knows ! i dont know if what i'm talking about here is old or new ! Rob usually plays last set in SS Norf & he plays hard trance / hard house but does a lot of old bootlegs with acapella mixes in them! Not really classic bouncy hard house tho. CTW Members SharonW Posted January 9, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted January 9, 2003 The hardest stuff is last cos it's the build up of the night that gets you there. If you walked into a club and straight away they started banging it out, it would be off putting for lots of people who like the journey. That's why Insomniacz is hard as hell, by 4am people want to rock and they blast it out and keeping it going til the end...there is no surrender. James be warned if you thought sunnyd was mad, Insomniacz is like a zoo but it's great ! CTW Members Mitzie Dancer Posted January 9, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted January 9, 2003 Bouncy is deffo my favourite, and has been BUT its rarely played now, all they snythy sounds are in rather than the bassy bouncy beats. In birmingham theeres a hardhouse pub called decades and my mate plays there, him and fellow dj's including karim play some of the bounciest hardest beats going, its wicked for a pub open late like10 or 12 till about 6 i think and they mix them kinda choons that make every1 stop and look at each other and go ''ave it!!!" Them are the best choons!! Its not a club so it doesnt have the atmosphere of a club but if you wanna do the pub socialising thing, its a small dark pub full of really friendly people with bad choons! If ur ever down brum give it a shot Quote About as innocent as a Nun doing pressups in a Cucumber field b1onde007@hotmail.com www.faceparty.com/b1onde007

CTW Admin James Posted January 9, 2003 Author CTW Admin Share Posted January 9, 2003 Bouncy is deffo my favourite, and has been BUT its rarely played now, all they snythy sounds are in rather than the bassy bouncy beats. I'm more and more thinking it IS the older bouncy hardhouse stuff which I'm talking about / currently loving but cant get enough of it. I know what you mean about 'synthy sounds' - I'm not really into these too much - I do actually prefer the bassy bouncy sounds - well described Mitzy - thanks! Sarah is bringing a few CDs down this w/e for me to sample so I'll let you all know next week what the verdict is and finally put an end to my confusion! I think because I missed the boat the first time round on a lot of this stuff my faiv stuff is in fact the older stuff - I'll catch you lot up one day I'm sure ! lol Quote James@ClubTheWorld.uk CTW Admin | ClubTheWorld.uk | Twitter | Instagram Clubbing the world, together ... CTW Members Mitzie Dancer Posted January 9, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted January 9, 2003 There are some alright synthy sounds, but think of lab4 being synthy and can sound distorted crap if not played throught the right system, where as a classic bouncy choon would be, blow your load by lock n load remixed by tidy boys, u listen to that clear bouncy bass line that throws the cheeky little samples in, and thats a real choon!!!
