It's seen as a racist thing.

Not that any other national "Saint what's his name" day is any better.

what the fuck is racist about it?

England, St George Cross, all hi-jacked by the BNP or the likes. I for one love England, but I'm left feeling awkward by people that use it as an excuse to push their xenophobic agenda's.

It's about time it's made into a proper cellebration of England, much like St Patricks day.

That and the fact that over the centuries we invaded many countries, killed and tortured their people, stole their land, told them they were savages and forced them to convert to christianity, and then brought them back to england to sell as slaves. How nice of us.

I have plenty of friends...all imaginary and they'd all prefer to hang out with each other than with me sad.gif

Seriously though, all my friends work "normal" hours and get to go out for a wee bevvy afterwards where as I work nights, wake up mid afternoon and cant do fook all before or after work.

St George is a myth anyway so why celebrate someone who didnt exsist?
