hard dance "hard dance" ... can someone explain?

According 2 the Heat flyer 4 Evoultion in November,Hard Dance was created i quote 'Hard House+Hard Trance=Hard Dance.Two genres metamorphous to produce one defening sound.[2001}.

Isnt the cheesy stuff comercial dance? and hard dance the combo of hard dance, hard trance n hard core?
