ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE

Hey everyone, we are writing to inform all of a new and exciting launch of a weekly daytime festival/club to be held at Canvas (a.k.a. Bagleys – Kings Cross) starting May 1st This event called Tunes Monster will be held between the hours of 12 noon and 8pm every Saturday daytime.

Our mission is to give London a new and funky entertainment hot spot. There will be four rooms, live acts, themed parties and a funfair. Two rooms will be skating. One room Roller Disco (UV skate park style) playing House, R’n’B and Pop and one Studio Fever Skate (funky 70 & 80's). Also 2 club room’s, non-skate. The main clubroom will play a ‘Decade Of Dance’ with resident DJ’s The Sharp Boys (Kiss FM) as well as live performances. The second clubroom will play current tunes and future tunes of tomorrow. Each room will have big name DJ’s playing everyone’s favourite tunes; hence the events name Tunes Monster. We will attract the cool, sexy, stylish and anyone who wants to get down, get funky and 'boogie' around Saturday afternoons to their favourite music. We will offer something for everyone. DJ’s will play all styles of dance music new and old from House to Pop to R’n’B, and all the dance floor club hits.

With Tunes Monster, London clubbing will be taken to the next generation. In addition to this, Tunes Monster will be a Festival, Club, Fun Fair, Roller Disco and performance venue with outdoor / indoor games and amusements. Therefore it will be at the forefront of clubbing, offer more than its competitors and will attract from across the board. 18 to any age, girls, boys, straight, gay, clubbers, skaters, tourists, locals, students, thrill seekers, the grungy, the high fashion and the ‘street to the sleek’. There will be an extensive advertising and promotion campaign ranging from Kiss FM radio, national magazines such as MixMag, Attitude and Gay Times local publications like Time Out, QX, Boyz and TNT. There will also be an Ibiza style parade through central London to promote this extraordinary event. The launch on May 1st will see the first of Monsters monthly themes. Hollywood Glamour invites you all to the Monster Oscar Ceremony, with its own red carpet. Who knows who you will see, Marylyn Monroe, James dean, or movie characters straight off the screen. To keep the like’s of these temperamental ego’s entertained there will be live performances by Room 5 who sang last summers no1 hit ‘Make Luv’ (and listen to the music) and diva sensation Jocelyn Brown hits the stage with amazing vocal power.

To satisfy the crowd Canvas is a 3,500 capacity split level venue and every week there will be unexpected trend setting entertainment. Tunes Monster aims to be London’s answer to Ibiza’s Manumission. Although there wont be live sex shows just yet remember to look out for hilarious and outrageous themes in the months ahead. A showdown full of fun, themes, comedy and performance creating a circus of sheer party mayhem.
