Logic vs Cubase

I have only ever used Cubase for my sequencing needs (the only other software I have used is Reason, Rebirth and Octamed, as far as sequencing/tracking goes), and I like Cubase, and would recommend it to anyone.

 

I confess, however, that I have not even trialled any other sequencing. What do people make of Logic and any other sequencers they have used. (I am really interested in Audio/Midi packages, as we would be looking at recoring the audio on to the Hard Drive for mastering)

I personally LOVE logic audio platinum (although i've probably got a v. old version now ) only problem is i believe this dis-continued development on the PC platform now - mac only vst is ace too though but i'm still having trouble picking it all up - i've got quite a good book - will get you the ISBN if ya want. Fruity is what i'm pissing about with at the moment. I'm really into effects at the mo and pissing about with creating new voices but all still too new to it as its been years. Anyone got any really good sample cds ?

I have to say Logic looks very good (ever see any of those pics with all the control parameters hovering over the tracks, all curvy with different types of curve etc) but I have only used Cubase, and as James says, now that the company has gone insane they won't be supporting the PC platform anymore, though of course you can still make music, what's going to happen to all the necessary additions in the next few years, I figure it's not worth it.
