I didnt really like the place 2 be honest, dirty sweaty and full of G...! but i was pretty happy as i had my little australian bird with me...... Great 2 see u all there though! CTW Members twistlad Posted May 5, 2004 Author CTW Members Share Posted May 5, 2004 I have to say that I am also dissapointed with the Bank Holiday Monday party for Twist Unfortuantely the Orange party at the Fridge was so busy that the management decided to let the overflow come to Fire and took the decision to move the the hard room into room two. It was by no means a "normal" twist as the main room was predominately gay where as room two was the normal twist mix. The FIRE management do not normally allow any form of sex on the dancefloor apart from kissing and persons will be told to get a room! GHB is also a banned from FIRE and anyway caught using it or seen using it will be barred. Its something that the club is working hard on to remove from the club scene. I will personally forward on your comments to the management as I feel that TWIST was let down at the weekend and damage has been done to what is normally London's best after party! Once again sorry (and i'm not paid anything by FIRE/Twist) for the let down on behalf of a club I love! Rich p.s - if anyone has any other comments etc please do pm me! I find that hard to believe, especially when one guy in particular was allowed to wonder around and groped whoever took his fancy. It was plain to see he was completely fucked on GB but somehow it was acceptable practice at Twist. Do the Twist management consider Twist to be a club where people can come to enjoy themselves whether gay or straight or is it just Clapham common with a roof? Having said that I had a great time on Monday. I just hope the staff will be more vigilant in future. As for the music policy, I went last Sunday and the Sunday before and I think it worked better then - having hard dance in room one and then switching to room two when the 'big name' DJs had finished playing, otherwise room two gets way too over crowded and room one empty. Unfortunately on Monday there did seem to be a lack of sweeps by the security around the club which may of been due to how busy it was or a shortage of staff. Twist should be and has been in the past a club where anybody regardless of sexual orientation etc etc is welcome! As I said before, unfortunately the normal balance was upset on monday by the crowd from the orange who are not used and who are not the Twist crowd! There was also a recent meeting between some of the London clubs about the G problem and some ideas are being put forward! CTW Members Louise Posted May 5, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted May 5, 2004 id feel more comfortable if there was same sex toilets, im not a prude and i love the mixed toilets everywhere else like the sanctuary, simple fact thay are used for toilets (even though we all stand around and chat in them) not prostitution (which iv also been informed and think iv seen happen within the chinese people that go in there ), casual sex and peeping. CTW Members Dawn Posted May 5, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted May 5, 2004 I've been to Twist a few times now knowing full well that it is predominantly a gay club, that has never bothered me in the slightest. It may have been because the room was so small, and everything that went on was noticed, where as in the main room things probably occur week in week out but can be hidden or if you don't like what you see you can comfortably move to another spot away from it. Twist always has been THE best after club i've been to, for the Dj's to the excellent sound system it has, and i'd say majority of people there have been as friendly as. The toilets are pretty rank and an option as to whether you go in unisex or not would be nice ... but a cleaner would be better If funky is filling a room that size like it did Monday, I can see the room status staying the same, which would be a shame for the likes of me but you have to go with the calling at the time Still had a fooking great time there though and had to be dragged off the dance floor when it was time for us to leave Quote 👶 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
