Edition announce Mike Koglin as new resident DJ

Edition are proud to announce Mike Koglin’s new residency. Mike’s reputation has spread globally as one of the finest producers of trance, and he is arguably best known for his debut tune ‘The Silence’ released back in 1998 on Multiply.

 

With the original mix of ‘The Silence’ mastering the trance sound of the late 90’s, it has subsequently been remixed numerous times and has featured on trance compilations by Sony, ID&T and Ministry of Sound, just to name a few. In more recent times, Mike has been busy in the studio producing a number of tunes published on his own label, Noys, that have been play listed by some of the world’s best. These include ‘Another World’, ‘Time’ (Mike Koglin & U.T.O) and a new track featuring the vocal sample from the Push classic ‘Strange World’ (Mike Koglin & Dewar).

 

Throughout 2003, Mike also worked with close friend and producer Darren Tate under the alias Kota. ‘Waiting’ and ‘Now is the Time’ have been featured in sets as well as compilations by Tiesto and John ‘00’ Fleming, and still hold their own as some of the best trance productions around.

 

Lately, Mike has teamed up with Jono Grant, one of the members of Above and Beyond, to produce a number of uplifting anthems. ‘Circuits’ is their first release and will be out soon on Anjunabeats. This is due to be followed by a second release, an even more uplifting tune so we are told, which will be given its debut airing at Edition on 15 May. 2004 is shaping up to be a busy year for Mike as future releases will showcase collaborations with JFK, Simon Patterson and Matt Darey.

 

Aside from his respected standing as producer within the trance scene, Mike has also spent many hours behind the decks refining his mixing skills. Mike has played mostly in Europe and Asia and has only recently begun playing in the UK. With gigs lined up at Passion and Edition in the coming months, Mike will soon also be well known for his dj’ing talent in addition to his skills on the production console.

 

Mike commences his residency with his debut appearance for edition on 12 June, playing alongside Pulser, residents and guests.

I don't know what all the sarcastic comments are for, what is the need for comments like this guys!!!!!! really thought you were a little better than that, these remarks do get a little bit tedious.

if you have nothing construstive to post them don't bother, simple really.

 

The guy has come on here to advertise a night (after all this is a clubbing wesite), I'm thining we need more posts like this so i don't have to waste my time reading posts that are sarcastic, like you guys have a habit of doing.
