that was pretty much the sentiment i was trying to get across...

 

wasn't trying to be unconstructive, it's just a little bit irritating when someone joins the site for the sole purpose of promoting their night - i thought we were a 'community'. fair enough join as "greg edition", make a post in the newbie's forum and then tell us about a night, but i see the original post as spam.

Hi, I’d just like to add that my old posts disappeared a few months ago when CTW revamped itself . I did post under my old username GregC. Originally this thread was put in another forum but it’s been moved about, so hopefully it’ll end up wherever it’s supposed to be!

 

If it’s possible, I’ll see if I can have the username amended to make things more personal.

OK, apart from the peeps I know from Serious who also regularly visit these boards, I’ll re-introduce myself as it seems like the appropriate thing to do seeing as my old username no longer exists. I’m resident dj and part of the promotional team for edition (daytime trance party in London), been playing for 3 years, promoting for 8 months, been clubbing for 15 years, am happily attached and drive a ford! Hope that helps……..

Would just to clarify one thing:

 

Whether it was in 'event suggestions' or the 'general discussions' forum it was still inappropriate for either because surely 'Event Suggestions' is there for CTW's active* members to suggest specific nights of interest. If for example we had every tom, dick and harry coming on here to promote their club night it would be overflowing with all kinds of shit.

 

Therefore as already stated we need the promotions forum back again. Then all parties are happy and we can all live in peace and harmony
