Slimelight-Islington-3rd May-Gothic/Industrial

I know there are a few alternative types on this board, so I always mention when I am going to Slimelight.

Slimelight has 2 floors, one catering for goth and ebm (Sisters Of Mercy, Nine Inch Nails, VNV Nation, Apoptygma Beserk[remix on Resonate 2]) and one covering Hard Dance, Powernoise and other weird stuff (Hocicco, Psychic TV, Throbbing Gristle [have even heard Lab 4, and the Matt Darey(sp?) mix of delirium Heaven's Earth is a classic playout song]).

 

Anyway, on 3 May, I am planning on going down and meeting up with Xenny, and hopefully Shenlong and Cybermoo too. Anyone else who is interested, let me know.

 

We will hopefully start at Purple Turtle till about 11, then off to Islington for Slimes which goes on until 7.30am, and is £8 for non-members.

 

Dresscode is black/cyber/alternative, but with a couple of members (myself & Xenny's sister, hopefully), we should be able to smuggle a few less "alternatives" in. It is a fun place, and would recommend anyway into Hard/different music to experience it once, but I wouldn't have said it was the sort of place you could go and have a laugh if you weren't into the music to some degree

i'd love to come along but i dont wanna say nething 4 sure as i dunno how much better off i'm gonna be cash wise or even if i'm gonna be in the mood 4 this kinda thing in a months time, but all things being good i'd like to go

Hmmm ... Considering this just to see what its like and to see if I like it.

 

I like some of the darker/wierder stuff by groups such as Massive Attack and I'm told its similar in some ways to industrial-type music ... But I'm not 100% sure. Its not the sort of stuff I'd dance to and have a good time maybe?
