I don't particularly like twist, as it always seems to be full of random drug-fucked weirdos who have wondered onto the bus by mistake. Every time I've been there I've been harassed by weirdos who are so mashed that they cannot string a sentance together and don't understand when you tell them to leave you alone. Twist is also too much like a proper club than an afterparty for my taste - at that time in the morning I want somewhere I can relax and chat to people, not a dark dingy hole. Although I am glad to hear there has been a variation in music policy with the second room - Karim and Ian M are not exactly what I want to hear after 12 hours rinsing my brain out.

Interesting feedback - thanks!! I take it you have ventured into room two where you can sit around the dancefloor and also the bar area/seating area near room two?

 

I've not heard of much hassle before from the girls that I know who go regularly so maybe you've been unlucky in the times that you've gone there

of course, there is choice, you have your own mind, but I guess if they are driving then fair enough, but if your mates then you should talk to them & make a compromise about it, christ, Camden was far worse for grime etc, ok the gay factor etc is at times bad but the club itself, is ace, clean, well cept the loo's!!, comfy, wicked sound system & lighting

In my experience girls don't tend to complain to management if they are getting harassed as much as, for example, a straight bloke would if they were being hassled by another bloke, probabaly because us girls are all used to it and is generally something that you can't avoid when going out, sad but true

 

But because of the amount of drug-fucts in twist (this is ineveitable as it's an afterparty) I've found the problem much worse there. I think the management should perhaps be a bit stricter with really munted people, not necessarily chuck them out as it could be dangerous but perhaps take them into a medical room or something.

this is just my opinion on twist

 

when i first started going there i loved it but now im not so bothered about it.

the thing with me is im not out in london so much anymore so when i am i like to try different events with different dj's.

i love the twist dj's but to me it gets boring seeing every time im up,dont think it would be so bad if they also had a different dj on each week to give it more variety.

i can understand both sides of what ppl are saying about the event,i feel im stuck somewhere in the middle.

as for the drug fuct ppl that go there yea there maybe a few more but even i know there are peeps that cant control themselves and go under on more than one occasion and not at twist.

Jessica, I agree with everything you've said.

 

Its not the fact that there are so many gay guys in Twist, that I have a problem with. Its the way that they were openly wanking each other off in public that annoys me. If it were a straight couple I would feel equally as disgusted. At an after party it really is the last thing I want to see!

As for the drugs thing - There really does seem to be more fuckheads and weirdo's in there than any other club I have ever been to. I, like Jessica, have been regularly harrassed by dodgy nasty blokes in there, more so than any other club!

I will not be going again. Not even if you paid me.

Please dont tar all 'us girls' the same, if your being harassed damn right YOU can do something about it if you choose to

While Twist does attract gay people as well as bi/lesbian and str8 - last monday was an unusual party as i've stated b4 and the managment now know peoples views etc. Anyone caught wanking or having sex on the dancefloor should be reported and they will be dealt with. I'm gay myself and wouldn't wanna see two people wanking or sucking each other off. Sorry u had to see it and were offended.
