How do I get back work accidently saved over by something else? Any one?

If ur on XP i think there is an option (no idea where cos ive never had it) that u can restore ur system back to how it was a few mins ago?!

if you've got windows 2000 professional (not likely coz thats for businesses) or XP then yeah if u reset then hit F5 or F8 you can restore it back.....

 

.....but i think that might only set back system settings and and program installs, not file saves but cant remember.

 

Other than that if the file has been saved over you could be in trouble

I don't know wat happened but was on here, then switched windows back to word and suddenly it was my work but with all the stuff I'd added to it 2nite missing!

 

I restarted my puter and opened the file up again and my work is all here now

 

Its the gremlins again, but they've been nice and given me back my work. Maybe they will give u back your wallet.

 

I was really stressed then I'm struggling to write enough as it is. I think I would of jumped in front of a bus if it had all really gone.

from word 98 onwards it has a cunning thing that backs up your work now and then so if word crashes or goblins invade your poota when u restart it reverts to the lastest temp backup.

 

im gonna shut up now b4 i get pointed at and called a geek!
