Right, so if someone was after you for messing about with his woman, and he knew your mobile number, but not your name....

Then he got his mate who works at the company your phone is with to give him the name and address so he can hunt you down and break your legs.....

What sort of things can you do to sort it out if you are a big wuss who has never been in a fight in his life - can you sue the phone company and the guy and get loads of cash from it? grin.gif

Get a restraining order in the mean time.

You could point out to the lad that his girlfriend is easy and you've done him a favour pointing it out to him.

well mobile fone companies aren't allowed to give out your personal details without your consent and if they do it's breaking the law.

i agree with alex get a restraining order against him!!

The person that worked at the company would get the sack for breaking the DPA, I don't know what legal sanctions you could take against the company. You'd probably do fairly well against the employee in a civil court if you can prove that it's affected your quality of life by receiving these threats as a result of his unlawful actions etc.

Would be a good idea to report the threats to the police. Phone threats are treated very seriously.
