CTW Members ChrisT Posted May 6, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted May 6, 2004 Really like this mate The break at about 4.50 id have a more 'breakbeat' kinda beat to it perhaps, and maybe build it up to more of a crescendo when the main part of the tune drops back in. Other than that i really like it

CTW Members squeakage Posted May 6, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted May 6, 2004 I like the breakbitty bit too the start's pretty funky.. funky build ups are always a plus... and the chord changes make me kinda gasp if that makes sence... (i know what i want to say- if u dont ask me)

Guest
not bad work there. just 2 things let the track down for me 1) the key change sounded out of place at the beginning of the track. it worked well once the main riff etc was all going and at the end (as it was expected in by that point) 2) the percussion needs to be a little punchyer during the breakbeaty bit as the kick drum just sounds over powering and w/o rhythm all the individual sounds have a nice texture to them tho. which is the hardest bit of writeing a tune i find
CTW Members Stu Posted May 7, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted May 7, 2004 i really like that... nice work dude. you could make more of the change from the breaky bit to the normal bit about 6 or so minutes through... a chish, chish, chish chish chish chish would work nicely. CTW Members Aaron Posted May 7, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted May 7, 2004 i really like the hook on this, a couple of things i would suggest is making the beats more driving, something similar to the beats in the ProbSpot mix of Solid Globe - North Pole, and maybe defining the breakbeaty bit more with something similar to the one in the breakdown of Firewall - Kilimanjaro (original) if u know what i mean! Thats my 2p for what its worth
Guest Jay
i havnt listened to it but if i had id have said make the boomy bits more boomier & and make the build ups build up more. apart from that its great. *loops & riffs * added those words so i sound like i know what im on about. CTW DJs Ian Cashman Posted May 7, 2004 Author CTW DJs Share Posted May 7, 2004 good good... i decided to post it as is, cos ive heard it so much now i need to take a step back and see what other people think. i know the breakbeat bit needs work, which is my next mission! CTW DJs Ian Cashman Posted May 7, 2004 Author CTW DJs Share Posted May 7, 2004 i was far too pissed to be attempting and kind of 'crappy cd-deck' mixing so i never played it in my set i played it b4 the club opened tho, and it sounded kool
