CTW Members perm Posted May 10, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted May 10, 2003 I was under the impression that with it being a mix CD, therefore effectively being one continuous song, it became an original piece? plus when you copy a mix CD the writen CD automatically copy writes the audio recording to that specific device or user??, does that not carry any legal argument??? . . . . . please tell me if im talking out of my arse and ill leave... CTW Members Ed_worx Posted May 11, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted May 11, 2003 the second you play a record which you don't own the rights to in public your [censored] unless if its in a venue with a music license then your ok, but with reguards to a mix cd if you do one and put a track listing with it and you don't have permission your [censored]! To play a record out the venue must either have to have a license, pay rights(most big radio stations do this) or get permission if you don't do any of these you are breaking the law (which i seem to do quite alot!!!!!!). I must also admit im pretty wasted and this may not make sense but i have done my homework on this topic, honest!!! Cheers Ed Ultraviolent Liverpool@ the lemon lounge Awesome!!!!!!!!
