Help!

...that I have done coke!!!

 

When I was on holiday the other week, Tunic sent a text message to several friends using my phone saying we were fucked on coke. He had thought he had included a friend Phil in the message but I don't have this friend's mobile number in my phone. Instead he had sent it to my BROTHER Phil!

 

My brother then showed it to my mum - like the nice brother he is! My brother is the family black sheep and I guess has taken this as a way of scoring points and making someone else look bad. No one would guess he is 31 - he acts more like 12 sometimes.

 

My mum then asks me, when we are back from holiday about the message.

 

I don't like lying so I told her the truth and understandably, because of all the media hype, is devestated. Imagine if she knew everything I had done. What is worse is it is very rare that I touch coke it is just we were in Tenerife and there isn't much choice out there. Being a beer boy place it attacts beer boy drugs!

 

The whole thing has really upset and depressed me because me and my mum had such a close relationship. She has made me promise not to do it again and she wont mention it again. She hasn't told anyone else which means she is dealing with it by herself.

 

I now never want to touch another drug again!

 

Hence, I was stone cold sober at Lashed - although I still made it til 6am and had a great time dancing my socks off!

 

Sorry, this has dragged on a bit, just wanted to get it off my chest!

props for being honest with her. perhaps you can see a silver lining here by using this as an opportunity to educate your mum realistically on the issue of drug use in place of the media hype which is all she has right now?

Squirrel - Best thing to do here then, even if you stay off drugs from now on is to educate your mum, make sure she doesn't just listen to the hype on TV or what is written in national rags...

The same sort of thing happened to me about 3 years ago now.

My Mum found a to-do list which included purchasing a gram of coke and an ounce of skunk.

 

At first I felt really akward about it all and then ashamed for days.

Thankfully families will always love you can be there for you whatever happens and in my case it was all forgoten about.

Maybe because there is far more important things going on and at the end of the day im not a hard drugs user as Im sure you arent one too.

 

After a while its all water under the bridge like most things in life!

I just wanna add before I go to bed...

 

It was more of a case I was to lazy to through away the list,

I didnt write it and just thinking about it know, I dont know why these items would be placed on a list like that.

 

It was only a rough list which had the items listed as coke, smoke jotted down in scribble and to be best of my knowledge it was never that bold anyway.

My mums pretty straight laced but knows I do drugz & has never gone too mad about it. She jsut said she appreciates me being honest with her. Was obvious I was pillin it yrs ago wk in wk out & would have made it worse by lying so when she asked I jsut said yeh & she was ok. Actually got a lot more grief off my mum ova the last bf than I ever did over drugz - since I ditched the creep shes been fine there too!
