Clubbing Attire

This is inspired by another thread on another site Do you think HH clubs should have a dress code?? or do you believe that clubbing is not just about the music & dj's, but also about wearing what you like, ie cyber etc???

I would have thought it's the music (or drugs), not the clothes that makes the night.

i def think its bout the music and the dj's but then i think people should be able to wear what they like in order to feel comfortable and at ease, ie, trainers are always good

yeh totally, but ive always liked the fact that especially with London clubbing, you can be pretty much who you like & wear what you want, but this guy went to an event in London, in cyber shorts & top & he & his friends were asked to leave as the promoter does not want that type of person in there event, this was a HH event also, I just think it is wrong that people can be discriminated because of clothes!!

yeah i agree wit u hun. thats what used to be seen in loads of hh clubs (cyber), what people wear doesnt determine what that person is goin to be like.

personally i couldnt give a stuff what anyone wears to go clubbing...i dont go clubbing to check othewr people out. I go for the music and quality people...if a club is ignorant enough to discriminate against what people are wearing, then it wont be taking my money

 

p.s i think cyber is a bit naff now tbh and had its day

I agree, it seems snobbish to me, that a promoter can say this is allowed & this isnt!!

was using cyber as an example. As I say the one thing I liked about clubbing in london was the fact that all walks of life were there

Take Fabric for example..excellent club and the music is pure quality. Nobody really dresses up but wears whats comfortable i.e trainers....they go there to have a good time and enjoy the music ! Which is what it should all be about...

the thing is the lad was wearing as i say lycra shorts with matching top, now apperently a few punters complained to the promoter who then in turn threw him 7 his mates out, now to me, it would not happen if it were a girl in hot pants, so why should it happen to a male??

I am a huge fan of wearing what I'm comfortable in. If somewhere wont let me in because of what I wear, then tough luck I'll take my money elsewhere.

yep exactly Alex, but what gets me in all this, is they were happy to take these peoples cash on the door etc & then boot them out, knowing full well what they were wearing on entering the club, jeez many people offend me whilst out, didnt realise a simple grummble to the promoter could have them thrown out

i personally think that clubbing is about the music and not what your wearin!

 

are you more of a clubber if you go funky or more of a true clubber if you go cyber!!

 

at the end of the day its about the music djs and clubs not what bloody shop you got your clothes from!
