mixing wine and other drinks

I'm going out to a meal soon where we're all drinking wine but we're heading off to a cheesy shite club afterwards - what can I drink in a cheesy shite club that will mix well with wine (i.e. not make me SPEW ALL OVER EVERYONE'S FACES)

 

Any advice?

I thought that was the objective in cheesey niteclubs; throw up over one another! If so, then ensure you guzzle plenty of red wine for the better effect.

Arghhhh ... Red wine gives me the worst hangovers in the world ever !!! Seemingly the clearer the drink, the less of a hangover you will get, like with vodka. Red wine is well bad cos its got loads of tannins and stuff in which is what gives you a minging head the next day, or so i believe !!

It's not just the hangover it's the puke I'm trying to avoid.

 

I was at a party once where I was already sufficiently tipsy to believe that a drink someone then went and got for me was just a "strong" wine, when it was something like triple vodka and wine.

 

Needless to say my stomach took offence. And it was a good job it was a party outside in the back garden!!

whatever happens, try to force yourself to drink as much water as possible when you get home and before you go to bed. i try to drink a couple of pints and it always makes a big difference to the hangover.

 

did you know in france, when people are hungover, they say: "j'ai mal aux cheveux" which, translated literally, means "my hair hurts"

 

i always thought that was a great phrase...
