I've got tonsillitis

Any hope of going out, getting pissed and pulling this Valentines are out now.

 

I am a very miserbale Rascal today...

 

I have foolishly come in to work too...what am I doing?

Go to open appointment at the docs, get some antibiotics - it'll clear up by Sat hopefully.

 

Or you could just go out and do your own version of biological warfare.

i suffer with that about once a month (during the winter months) get your self down the docs for antibiotics, go home eat ice cream, have hot drinks, hot baths and feel sorry for yourself at home

 

its nasty, especially when the aches set in aswell.

 

im unlucky enough for the antibiotics not to work against tonsilitis now, so i have to suffer in silence

Childhood diseases are harsh, I think I had all of them except German Measles and that was despite being immunised against them all.

 

I did use them to my advantage at secondary school. Cos my tonsils were so massive if I hadn't done my homework I'd go to the medical room and say they hurt and would get sent home every time.

Lou thats not good that antibiotics don't work anymore, can you not get them taken out?

hes had his MMR (measles mumps rubella) but hes still cought it..........might as well not have had it, i didnt want to give it him but the doctor persueded me

The MMR doesn't prevent you from catching any of those diseases ... what it does prevent though are the very severe or life threatening cases.

 

 

 

You can still get tonsillitis if you've had them taken out

Tonsillitus is nasty, hope you're feeling better soon Chloe.

 

I used to get it all the time a few years ago when i was a Nursey nurse, and like Louise the antibiotics stopped working for me too! They don't like taking your tonsils out as an adult because apparently it stops the infection going any further and its supposed to hurt like hell having them out as an adult
