I am sooooo fcuking pissed off!!! I arranged for my step sis to come out to XLR8 with us tonight, even agreed to pay for everything except coach fare which is just £8!!! I told her months ago to save that much, its not a lot is it?! And today she tells me shes cancelling coz she can't get £8 even tho she had a job!!!! And I even arranged for my mum to go away for the weekend so she could stay!!! GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!! I am so fcuked off with pathetic excuses coming from pathetic people!!! Tonight I'm getting as mashed as I can and focus on the reliable people that actually make it out at the weekend!!!!

Sorry but I'm so angry I just had to let it all out!!!!

Like minded RELIABLE, clubbing realistic, mates, who 99 times out of a 100 are where they say they are going to be, at the time they have said, and ready to go on to where they have agreed they will go. That's the point, IMHO, else we are just a talking shop. And the lesson here is:

 

Don't commit to def coming if you think u might not be able to just cos that's what the other person want's to hear. Or know that you won't and let them down. Just to stop them badgering you. The badgerer should bear in mind that the other person might have other agenda's tho!!

 

'I'll try to go', 'if i can get some things squared away, i will,' or even 'nope can't make it' is much better than:

Yeah will def be there don't worry, and then not turing up!!

 

We all have outside lives, you can't be everywhere or do everything.

i love it when people come out clubbing with me but there's no point getting upset if they don't.

 

i'd much rather they did what they want to do (even if that's not always what i want them to do) than come along out of some sense of obligation.

 

that said, i see the difference between a one-off no-show and people who develop a reputation for always saying they'll be there and never showing up.

 

10% of life is "what happens" - the other 90% is about how you choose to deal with it. you're in charge of your own happinesss. choose to be happy.

Agree with everyone to an extent, it's so [censored] annoying being let down by mates, ' if you don't wanna come then just say, stop giving me you're [censored] bullshit all the time ' is what I want to blare out sometimes.

 

At the same time, it's part of life & people will always [censored] you about. Besides, i've been let down so many times, I'm used to it.

For my 18th birthday i had 2 tickets to Progress for a present. I asked a friend if he wanted to go and he said he was definately up for it. Just over 2 weeks later the day had arrived, i was sooo excited and it was going to be my first superclub experience, i had been waiting for this day for years.

As i was half way thru gettin ready i had a phone call from the person i was supposed to be goin with and he said he couldnt go, he didnt even give an excuse, just that he couldnt go. This was about 30mins before we were going to be leaving for progress. I then began a frantic ring around but everyone had already made plans. In the end i ended up goin with some girls who study with my mum at uni who i had never met before.

I later found out that the person who was meant to be going to progress with went out to the pubs in town.

I dont lose any sleep over it but it does piss me off when you arrange to meet someone & are stood for over an hour waiting for them & they never even let you know they arent coming!
