it's starts off about some weird band called 'Queens of the Stone Age' and gets so boring that the thread quickly decends into a debate about which forum this thread should be stored in ... zzz.gif

heh, surprising amount of people here that are/used to me into rock/metal! Although i think most poeple here seemed to ahve gone from rock to dance. I still like both though, like clubbing, but nothing beats Reading Festival :D

And as for the topic in question, queens of the stone age are good, if you like em, you might like a band called Kyuss which the singer and abss player were in years ago.

But best of all would be Pitchshifter, sorta a dance/metal/punk hybrid :D Oh and shut it before you say theyr'e crap dawn, honestly, you love the wildhearts for god's sake!

ahhh but tara they will say that about the music you like. this is called "personal taste", lol.

I like all music *except garage that just boring*, but you can find inspiration from everywhere. Like a lot of trance and even hard trance can have it's links to classical music. Which is an obvious link ain't it.

[Rant] I haven't gone from one to another really, when I was in my teens at the height of grunge, I was also very much into dance music and jungle...and both loves have grown together. Admittedly, I don't really buy that much guitar music anymore, but then I can't really afford to buy many dance cd's either....my music money goes on tends to go on vinyl. I do, however, still swop a lot of cd's with my 18 year old sister cos we love some of the same bands....

I also love listening to old soul and motown stuff as well as plenty of other stuff....late 70's and early eighties funk...I have grown up with a lot of musical influences and continue to love them..I thank my mummy for this! smile.gif[/Rant]
