Hardcore or Stupid? (A tale)

Why, oh why do we do it? My quiet weekend in turned out, suprisingly enough, to be a quiet weekend out The alarm went off at 6am Sat morning!! so I could drive my parents to the airport (off to Honolulu, the lucky bastards), and a Saturday with not much to do slowly became a Saturday to plan a night out at Sundissential. Sunni's wouldn't be sundis without going on to Afterssential (was a very pleasant surprise to bump into Mitz and Geordie_Becky), and then the offer of more music, beer and the chance to continue the conversation I was having with a cute female meant I ended up at Decades. At 6pm, after having danced to Candyman and Engineman(?) played too fast (Lab 4 doesn't [censored] played too fast, their amazing bass sounds lose their depth and cutting edge), I asked a friend why we were still out on a Sunday evening, to which he replied "Cos we are hardcore". I am starting to doubt that this is the correct response, I think maybe "Cos we are stupid" would be more fitting.

I finally started to head home about 6.30pm, but after a slight disagreement with a train route (pharmaceuticals, tiredness and a walkman culminating in me missing my stop), I was faced with the options of a 2hour wait for the next train, an hour wait for a taxi (it took me 20 minutes to discover that the godforsaken hole I had found myself in didn't have a taxi firm or rank, and to find a number of a cab company), or a 4 mile walk home. Having no cash for liquid refreshments, I would have had to wait out in the freezing fog, which didn't sound great, especially as some of the local youths seemed to be having difficulty with the concept (of Love - Lab 4 rock!!!)....sorry, having difficulty with the concept of my hair being blue. So, after a four mile walk across uncharted dark moors and roads (you haven't got a hope of hitching a lift on a dark b-road when you have silly coloured hair, and a green army jacket),I finally got back home to my original destination train station, from which I could retrieve my car (thankfully not broken in to, that would have made my day!!) and complete the journey home. Somehow it was now 10pm, and the amphetamine induced loss of appetite was starting to go, so I made some food, washed it down with a beer, had a quick shower (24 hours of partying and hiking leaves you a bit dirty and sweaty) and finally crawled into bed. 11pm, I had been up for 41 hours, was dead on my feet, and what time was the alarm set for this morning......6am!!

So here I am, sat in at [censored], desperately trying to avoid falling asleep, or doing any [censored], and trying not to let on that sleep deprivation and the remnants of the weekend are still giving me a buzz (Does anyone else find that they really enjoy doing really deep breathing, and letting out long sighs? Especially after meeting "billy"?)

So, what is the moral of this story...well, firstly that Blink is definitely stupid (hardcore if you prefer, but at this moment I think stupid is considerably more accurate). Secondly, has Blink learnt his lesson...Lab 4 live next Sat, Afterssential with the same cute girlie as this week, and a friend who is inviting along yet more cute females.....what do you think? Finally, and most importantly, I have managed to waste 30 mins writing this, and pretending to look busy, so that is 30 mins less [censored] that I have done, and I am 30 mins closer to going home

If I don't make it back on this evening (and no doubt I will (can we say "Addiction")) just think of me curled up in my nice warm bed, my teddy bear next to me, finally catching up on some of the sleep I forgot about over the weekend.

I knew exactly where I was going, just didn't bother to check I had reached the right stop!! d'oh, was a weird night, all sorts of randomness happening!! Including a girl putting my hand on her breast, in front of her boyfriend!!
