What attributes do I have which make me "Not Normal"

I am beginning to get LOTS of people telling me I'm not 'normal' - including family, friends and [censored] collegues off the board - which is slightly worrying.

 

First of all I think we need to describe what 'normal' is and perhaps mention some people on the board or in real life who are good examples of 'normal earthlings / humans'

 

Then I would like for you to list which attributes I posses which specifically make me totally different to 'the norm'

cos what is normal to you is totally not normal to someone else! if you ask me i think you are normal in your own little way, along with eveyone else being normal in theire own little ways!

yeah but I too use the phrase "you are not normal" to people, meaning they are either a freak or different to the general population. sometimes I feel i am but only in certain areas - in other areas i find myself totally boring and normal - it is my quest to be so different from everyone else that i simply dont fit in and am shipped, freely, to Mars or something

Let's be honest, mate - you're a total looper! But then so are all the interesting people in the world. Let's examine a few examples.

 

Paula Radcliffe - BBC Sports Personality of the Year, good looking chick (when she's wearing a dress, not running, gurning and flobbing all over her own chin!), really genuinely nice person, and the most amazing athlete. Now this crazy biatch runs over 100 miles a week (bonkers!), pushes herself through the pain barrier for a living (loony!) and spends 30 mins everyday sat in a bath of ice (stark, staring mad!!!!).

 

Peter Jackson - Director, Lord of the Rings films (amongst others). Multi-millionaire, lovely wife and kids. Wears stinking trainers until they fall apart (whiffy!), his favourite dressing-up act involves a pair of 20yr old levis and a Games Workshop T-shirt (dishevelled!), never cuts his hair or trims his beard (Saskwatch!), spends 7 years at a time ignoring his wife and kids to make (admittedly the best ever) films (batty!)

 

Moby - likes to touch fellow celebrities with his willy when they're not looking....hmmmm!

 

All these people are fooking macadaemia

 

But I can honestly say, i would love to sit next to them at a civilised dinner party, blather with them in a club and chew the fat over a few jars in my local...and frankly, Jizza, I could say the same for your good self.

 

Stay 'not normal' - it suits you and it suits your mates.

 

ps - after that enormous arse lick, can I please get an avatar sorted out from one of the photos up on the board or if Soph ever gets round to scanning...

dunno about normal but i'm always being told i'm mad!!!

if we was all 'normal' then we'd all b the same and dead boring, so it's prob betta if we're not all 'normal'

We are who we are. We are shaped by the things we see and experience. There can therefore be no 'normal' as this would mean that we would have to all have exactly the same lives. It would be like having a right person and a wrong person.

 

Normal is something that certain people like to think they are, to feel comfortable/part of the crowd. And that is the great thing about most clubbers: they want to experience something else. I doubt whether people will agree with me about this, but I think you do have a certain connection with someone when you have both experienced something like pills. Doesn't mean you can't have freinds who don't do them, I have some really good freinds who wouldn't touch them.

 

James: from the small amount of time spent talking to you, you came across as someone who questions everything, and tries to look at stuff in a different way. That could be perceived as being weird to some people but, as Fint already said: the most interesting and succesful people in the world are like that.

 

On the other hand, this might all be bollox, and you're just a nutter

people can be average in their own liddle ways but 'normal' is a very silly word to use with people, it's not really worth thinking about, just be yourself and enjoy
