CTW Members TomD Posted December 15, 2002 CTW Members Share Posted December 15, 2002 Who do you rate? Favourite residents at your local/favourite clubs, and why? For me up here in Edinburgh it's David Amos at Majestica (progressive/tribal - nice dark & dirty tunes), and Neil Templar and Nomad at Dogma (techno - Neil scratching over the top of electro-techno kind of stuff and Nomad for just plain hard tek). Neither of them are famous clubs obviously outside of Edinburgh but when you've got good music and a good crowd, it doesn't matter what the name is, eh. So who's your favourites? CTW Members Evilhedfuk Posted December 19, 2002 CTW Members Share Posted December 19, 2002 Luke Neville at Serious@The Cross. This man is a legend, he always seems to know the right tunes to play and really picked the night up when he started in January. He's also one of the friendliest blokes around! CTW Members Signum Posted January 4, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted January 4, 2003 oh yeah, the post the post, He is better known now but highly rate Simon Foy, resident at Inside out (mostly trance, though kept bang up to date) - I don't think I've heard a bad set yet, in fact many of them have been the best of the night, better than Mauro or Fergie or many other big names. Fraser Latta also at IO is nearly as good sometimes, though since he often comes last on the night (one more tune!) the ending can be a frustrating mix of stopping and starting as the arches management turn the power off whenever they feel like it. Anyway he's another good trance dj, good mix of old and new and technically ok (as far as I can tell), mixed in this record with just "here we, here we, here we [censored] go" in a robotic voice with at least two other tracks, sounded brilliant.
