Tne Hard House bubble will burst pretty soon, just like Hardcore, Happy Hardcore, Trance etc...

They have a big year or two, sell out with huge club tours, pay the DJ's ridiculous amounts of money and eventually they do like a tribute tour every year or so witha few big name DJ's from the past?

Look what happened to Hardcore/Old Skool. Its still around like things like Rave, You still have a few shite DJ's like Slipmatt and Sy etc... Will the likes of Glazby/Farley/Tidy Boys be on the scrap heap soon?

How many more tidy weekenders will there be beofre the bubble does well and truly burst and people look for something new.

Is anyone else on the site looking for something new? I know a few people are, be it back into House the staple dance music genre or trance, techno, D&B, Prog etc...

I think it is only a matter or time. The Year of hard house/ was 2002.

If so what will be the soundtrack to 2003? Techno re-surge spearheaded once again by Coxy and his new skool of tech headz?

We shall see..............

I dont think it is, if u saw SS on NYD u would see how many people still love hard house.... and as for farley/glazby and tidy boys endin up on scrapheap - not gonna happen theyre all talented enough to go with the flow music wise i think, plus tidy boys may be retiring after TW3 icon_smile_sad.gif:

But i still think its a while to go yet!!

This is true i suppose. The Tidy Boys may want to retire on ahigh, and things are always remembered better if they stop at the peak and dont keep on going till no-one is interested. Retirng at there peak is a great idea, then they will be remembered as awesome in history forever, which they are dont get me wrong, i respect them a hell of a lot for what they have achieved!

Who can predict the future of music tho? Look how it has evolved over the last 10 years! Its always evolving.

Drugs i think will play a major part in culture of music still tho. We shall have to wait and see.

I dont think it will vanish, it'll just evolve.

Hard house is an evolution of hardcore, the original hardcore that is, top buzz, micky finn, dj gemini etc. Not the tripe that you get now.

Trance has evolved from old school music which was known as E-tunes and hard trance speaks for itself.

I don't know what the future will hold but i know it'll be hard and fast thumbs.gif

I disagree, Hard House evolved from 'Happy' Hardcore which in turn evolved from the original Hardcore/Rave muzik.

Also I think the Hardcore being released today is the best it's been since '96, Check out Bonkers 9 - Quality!

1stly) theres no such thing as "boubles bursting"!! it really irritates me when ppl say that cuz its just the mainstreem moving on to a diff sound after they have complete fuked up the genre with cheesy comertial shite. all that usually happens is the genre gets forced further underground to reinvent itself

2ndly) hard house is a v young audience so by the time clubbers get sick of it theres a fresh batch of 18+s ready to fill thier ear drums with hoovers. u look at the ppl that have followed hh and compare that to the ppl that follow techno and house, etc - there is a MASSIVE age difference

You see the thing is, when hardcore 1st appeared in about 90/91 it was a new thing, like trance and techno were and im just not convinced it'll have the same effect as it did back then. However i'll give you the benefit and give it a go! thumbs.gif

Mr Happy: i think you'll find that the majority of hard house lovers aren't that young. I'm 27 and love it. i've been clubbing for 11 years now and haven't got fed up of any new genre that comes out.

From my recollection in the Tidy arena at NEC the mix of under and over 25's was about 60/40 to the old timers! shrug.gifconfused.gifshrug.gif

i'm not saying all hh lovers r younge or that if ur 20 sumthin u cant appretiate hh, only that as a general rule that i've noticed (and possible incorrectly @ that) is that hh is a younger genre

Age is just a number

it doesn't mean diddly squat (except for being a guage of the length of time you've been alive, but that goes without saying)

From when I've been out I've noticed there seems to be more younger generations getting into HH, may just be me though!

This year I think D&B will get even bigger, after seeing recent explosions in popularity of events such as slammin' vinyl, sidewinder etc and hopefully more girls will join the D&B scene too. thumbs.gif

Techno has definitely been on a resurgence in the last six months or so, I think more spearheaded by people like Umek, Henrik B, Adam Beyer, Dave Clarke, Misstress Barbara, Fergie and chiefly Mauro Picotto and Ricky Effe. You can tell that Hard House is going that way with people like BK and Anne Savage putting on techno nights - end result hard music will always be around. While ever there are people turning up to listen to it, it will keep going. I don't think the hard house crowd is as fickle as others, you will just lose some of the people who jumped on the bandwagon, as with trance, garage, hardcore etc...
