CTW Members fifedjdomo Posted January 25, 2005 CTW Members Share Posted January 25, 2005 yeah i get that... well im right into the DJing thing. seriously... i do think however that my tune selection.... since maybe deepest blue-give it away was maybe better selection than earlier on. ok some of the recent house i got is trash tho... california dreamin.........................what is that!!!??? lol and i know everyone goes "uhhh" when they hear eric prydz but there are some cool mixes on the B side. i felt very proud also when i got the iguana 2004 import though
CTW Members LiquidEyes Posted January 25, 2005 CTW Members Share Posted January 25, 2005 i like my tunes... Good on you. some are a load of bollox that i dont play (such as scooter and ultrabeat lol dunno what came over me for that like) Everyone's got some shit tunes, I know I have! I only took the piss because you patronised Ian... (I'm no music fascist -- I have some cheesy stuff too.)

CTW DJs Ian Cashman Posted January 28, 2005 Author CTW DJs Share Posted January 28, 2005 5 identical rhythm patterns. 154910 that pattern looks FuNkY btw.... sheesh! remember that there is a snare or a clap every second beat... maybe that'll help u.... 155071 its 5 identical patterns quantised differently to show that the notes dont line up.... NOT 1 pattern
CTW Members fifedjdomo Posted January 30, 2005 CTW Members Share Posted January 30, 2005 i was havin a mix the other day and i think i realised something... i THINK, i said btw. just note that lol. i was playin n i was gettin the alphazone - rockin tune ready, u know, getting the beat match etc. i noticed a thing i didnt enjoy about the start of the record of the mat silver n tony burt remix, is that it doesnt go just boom boom boom boom etc... it goes boom du'boom du'boom du'boom like that n when ur tryin to beat match it sounds like its wrong and that its either too fast or too slow n gets a wee bit muddled... does this sound like the problem u bin goin on about mate? if thats it, i can sympathise dude. but u just gotta keep practicing with them kinds of tunes or we wont ever progress much

CTW Members LTM Posted January 30, 2005 CTW Members Share Posted January 30, 2005 The very reasons that people have stated on here for tricky vinyl mixing is why you should jump ship to cd decks or other forms of digital mixing.
