CTW Members LiquidEyes Posted May 19, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted May 19, 2004 (edited) Okay... there are two particular tunes I want to get hold of. Only one problem, I have no fucking idea what they are called. So I have resorted to the "bodge together a vague rendition of the tunes on Fruityloops in 10 minutes" approach, in the vain hope that somebody will recognise them... Tune numero uno: a sort of minimal hard house / techno cross-over track with a very acidy bassline (which I have completely failed to do any justice to on my keyboard!) I've heard this at nearly every club night over the last few months - Serious, The Gallery, Slinky. See attached... CTW Members LiquidEyes Posted May 19, 2004 Author CTW Members Share Posted May 19, 2004 Tune two: a more traditional "big-room" trancer. Again, please forgive the dodgy attempts at re-creating the chord sequence on my piano! Can anyone ID either track?
Guest
i'd be very suprised if this is the tune, but this is the only record i could find that sounds remotely like your 1st sample: listen from about 2:30 mins in and you'll see what i meen
CTW Members russelldust Posted June 6, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted June 6, 2004 QUOTE (LiquidEyes @ May 19 2004, 23:16) Tune two: a more traditional "big-room" trancer. Again, please forgive the dodgy attempts at re-creating the chord sequence on my piano! Can anyone ID either track? was it a real builder of a tune before firing off for the main riff? I know it's unlikely by it vaguely reminded me of CERN 'The Message'.

CTW Members LiquidEyes Posted June 6, 2004 Author CTW Members Share Posted June 6, 2004 Yep it was "Sunday Afternoon". I've got it on order. I did manage to suss out the other track - I realised I had it on Valentino Kanzyani Essential Mix from a few months ago, so I went through the tracklisting on Radio One's website. The tune is Huntemann - Discotech (Monika Kruse @ Voodooamt Remix).
CTW Members russelldust Posted June 6, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted June 6, 2004 both quality tracks- the latter is on the third CD of Marco V Combinations- I think you'd like it Andy- especially the last CD which is pretty tough and techy. Quite impressed with his productions so keen to see him when he's next around (Gallery I think)
CTW Members LiquidEyes Posted June 6, 2004 Author CTW Members Share Posted June 6, 2004 Yeah I've got the Combinations 2x12" sampler which is good. I saw Mr V DJ at Slinky a good year or so ago, I seem to recall he was pretty good.
