But i do have a hardcore cd mixed by Mark E.G, why would he put his name to this them? Is it called Absolute Hardcore (or something like that)?? And released by Slammin Vinyl? It aint Hardcore, just really bouncy Hard Trance! People tend to think he is a Hardcore DJ because he mostly plays at Hardcore events and promoters like Slammin tend to put him in the 'Hardcore' arena. The only Hardcore Mark has ever played was some of the early Industrial strength and Drop Bass Network stuff but were going back years and years here! Quote Welcome to the Darkside! I dunno you know, I would say a lot of the new stuff is 'softer' than Hardcore of old! a lot of it is now heavily trance influenced with kickdrums softened and more synth melodies. In fact there has been uproar within the Hardcore community about Hixxy and his Raverbaby label for over doing the trance influence in trax! Brisk's new stuff is rough as fcuk though! If so are Greg and Neil (3rd planet recs) still djing there? Aint seen them in years! I fuckin love hardcore, used to go round the country with my mate who was a dj, and i used to mc for him! Would love to get the opportunity to get back up on the mic just for one night! My fave tune tho is a real cheesy one that i rarely heard in clubs, was called 'My Dreams' By Sub-zero and fade. If there is a hardcore meet up i'm in! Bring it on! Get your whistles and your horns back out and get ready for your little skip dance!! Did any of you go to Club Kinetic in Stoke? Aint seen them in years! When Steam stopped at The Downtown one of the residents (Vortex) started up a night called 'Death row Techno' down the road in Club Zinc. After a few years DRT moved to The Void in S-O-T and became 'North Radical Technology' (Or North for short). Yeah, Dolphin (Greg) still DJ's, top bloke! Was Neil DJ 3-Dom?? if so then no he doesnt play anymore. Steam was the greatest Hardcore techno club ever! Did any of you go to Club Kinetic in Stoke? That place was a Hardcore Mecca! Yeah Neil was 3-dom, I knew it had gone down to Club Stink, and called DRT North, and then heard it went to the Void but wasnt sure if was still running! Is it still hang ya by the bollox music? I remember Greg showing me a mag where clarkee had said steam was in his top10 clubs, and it was also Voted Britains Hardest Club in 96 or 97, or probably both! Is spunky(MC Eazy) still MCing? You missed the best club night in the UK when you missed Kinetic mate! Let it Rest in peace! I almost cried the day it shut!
