I think I'm screwed anyway, there are both alcoholism and depression in my family, so I will probably end up with one or both of them!

Dont think I will ever be totally happy. My life seems torn between too many things (in different countries). Work is going really well and Im so happy with that side of my life, but being in this country is so restricting to other parts of my life. Im hoping that after the summer that a few things will fall into place and I will be able to dismiss the 1st statement in this post.

Not yet, I have to make an impression in my current role. Ive only just got this job, so will need to get my name known. But do intend on moving asap, once a job comes up that is either exactly what i am doing now or a step up. I also want to do it properly and find somewhere decent to live etc.

 

But like I said, hopefully it will all come together soon enough

Professionally my life has turned out better than I could have hoped- I have a job that many people would love, where I get to travel fairly regularly, get paid extremely well (though it is dependent on performance) and get invited to all sorts of freebies...

 

However, personally it is not as I thought. I expected (and wanted) to be married with kids by now (I was 31 last month). However, it just hasn't turned out that way- there was one possibility (I'm going to her wedding in July)- but I'm so damn grateful I didn't end up with her... life would have been one boring grind. Other than that there have been some who've been great but nothing like marriage material. The woman I'm kind of seeing at the moment is brilliant and pefect in so many ways, but really disapproves of drugs...

 

and I don't want to have to say never again...

 

makes me sounds shallow perhaps, but I do so love getting messed up.

 

I wouldn't say I'm happy (like Liam I don't expect to ever be- my feet are just too itchy, I'm too ambitious and always looking for the next rush in life). But I am at a stage in my life where I think I understand myself.

 

I actually like me and though it sounds arrogant I can see why other people might like me. At last I feel comfortable in my own skin and it's a lovely feeling.

 

The absolute plus point though is my friends- I am truly blessed in that my closest friends are simply fantastic (IMO) and whevever I'm with them I feel like the clouds part and the sun shines on us.

 

Where do I want to be?

 

I want to do what I'm doing for three or four years then go to live in the South West of France (near Spain), run a hotel/restaurant and vineyard and maybe DJ every now and again...

 

and it will happen

no happiness. One less thing to worry about but it is great being able to do pretty much what you like irrespective...

The last 18 months have been an eye-opener for me. I've finally started to address issues I had in my life and slowly getting to grips with them. I feel that I understand myself more and am getting happier with myself. I've learnt a few hard lessons, the main one being that I have been searching for something for many years when it wasn't really what I needed to be happy, infact it was quite the opposite but have only just seen it!

 

I have a good job although it is going through a very hard time at the moment so can't really see where that will end up, only time will tell.

 

The biggest thrill for me is the fact that over the last 18 months my DJing has picked up alot and feel that it is going in the direction that I have been hoping for for so long. There's still a long way to go but it's happening

 

I still have alot I want to accomplish with DJing and hopefully producing as well, but I guess that's all down to how much I push myself.

 

I'm with someone who I feel very comfortable with and enjoy the time we have together and have made some very good friends who I feel will be there for a good while to come.

 

There's always room for improvement, it just depends on how far you want to push yourself and how much effort you are prepared to put in to get out of life what you wish
