No, this isn't about me not liking cats or dogs, it's about people that have been sending their demo's to our labels.

Alot of the tunes are absolute corkers ... or at least they would be if people knew when to stop!

The thing that i've been finding really annoying recently is when people ''over produce'' their tunes by adding more and more bits and pieces to it, trying to make it sound *the bollox*. What they are in fact doing is ruining a blinding tune by flooding it with too many effects, too many noises and too many after thoughts.

The key to success is to keep it simple. If you're gonna insist on adding more bits to and already good tune - make them very subtle indeed.

I know that none of you have sent me any material, but i just thought i'd share a thought with those of you that do produce.

I [censored] with producers through out the world, i get contacted from various people asking me to [censored] with them, and they send me a demo cd of the song they want me to touch up or add on to or even re-write, and i must say, some are just utta shite! banghead.gif

If they spent half as much time working on their tracks as they did the CD labels maybe there for be some form of choon for me to [censored] with.

On the other hand, its always a chanllege, and when they phone me up and tell me what a good job i did etc it makes me feel great grin.gif

guess its different with record labels, would know im the only person on MDC Studios and thats how it will remain nut.gif
