New Sony P800 Mobile Phone

It defo is a really cool phone... my old man keeps going on about it. He also wants one 'cos

 

a) he's blind and it has a big color screen (he has a 68i at the mo)

That is, after all, all you need from a mobile phone, the ability to make phone calls, and text people!

 

I think having the word PHONE in its descripition gives it away

 

yes true blue, and I used to think this - but as with everyone requiring phones now days (have you tried a week without one - i did and it was hell!) I think more and more need a pda to organise their lives better (i know i do), plus i get to read all the emails i normally miss on the train. For me and the type of [censored] i do its deffo worth it.

 

I can even FTP/telnet into the web site and fix problems ANYWHERE. Remember its all 'software' so loads of new stuff coming out all the time.

 

You should see the wireless bluetooth headset - its gorgeous!

I have to say this phone is the abosolute DOGS BOLLOX - and well worth £250 on a new contract (i was switching to Orange anyway).

My old man has bought one of these phone now - had a play over the weekend.... it's a wicked phone Bit big for me - but the stuff it does is ace!

But my T68i i've brought is such a bag of shite, and now i'm stuck with it for a year unless i wanna pay £100 upgrade fee.

I have to say, this Sony is the dogs bollox. Its [censored] amazing. However the price does not appeal to me which is a pain in the rear because NOW I WANT ONE.

I was but we've just had a lodger move in and i also remortgaged the house and decided '[censored] it' as i hadnt bought anything for quite a while.

 

And I'm with Blink on this one ...

 

The point is this isnt just a phone, its a new kind of device (Smartphone) and it entirely replaces my existing Palm PDA (and its lighter/smaller). This wasnt bought as a gimmick, I really do use it for business stuff as well. Its also the first smartphone i've seen which properly supports any internet page. Its also ready for this new type of messaging service coming out shortly...

O yeah, the handfree sounds crystal as well - its great for when you are laying in bed talking to people - I can also use my hands on myself when talking to certain members of this board
