CTW Members Capn Jack Posted April 3, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted April 3, 2003 Check E-Bay, there is loads of idiots who bought a load of tickets and are now selling them for stupid prices, the tossers! CTW Members neet Posted April 3, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted April 3, 2003 Saw a pair of tickets on there for over 3 grand, idiots! Pyro they went on sale on Monday and sold out in 24 hours. I got mine, but we have no extras I'm afraid. People also need to be careful when they buy off e-bay, because they risk not getting the tickets at all.....check out www.efestivals.co.uk for more news on this

CTW Members pyro Posted April 3, 2003 Author CTW Members Share Posted April 3, 2003 REM and Radiohead are headling... but it's so much more than that. I could almost cry.... Will check e-bay but like you said, the last thing I'd want is to pay a load of money and have them not turn up or get to the gate to be told to turn around and go home. CTW Members Blink Posted April 3, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted April 3, 2003 I just can't get my head around going to a festival before you even know the line-up...but then again, I am quite anal about what I do and don't like!
CTW Members neet Posted April 3, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted April 3, 2003 But to be honest, for me and I would say most Glasto goers, it's not actually the music that they go for......infact, a couple of years ago I was really excited about seeing a few groups, and ended up quite disappointed ,went to see other bands halfway through the sets, or maybe just drank some more! This happened with both Moby and Leftfield. For most I think it is the whole experience....this that is the attraction. My defining moment of Glasto 2002 was watching the Pet Shop Boys at sunset and singing along with allt he songs we didn't want to know the words to with about 15 friends who we had managed to find there......it's not just that bands.... Or maybe you are just a bit anal! And I am really looking forward to Radiohead, who confirmed themselves a while ago now.

That's exactly what Glaso's about and why Mr Eavis doesn't reveal the line until a few days before. It's about the music, yes but it's more about the festival... the markets... the atmosphere and the people. If you've never been you just can't comprehend it. Gonna have to fork out a lot of money for this year!
CTW Members neet Posted April 3, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted April 3, 2003 Pyro, I would consider looking on festival forums for face value tickets from proper festival goers. There may be a chance that people who are found selling tickets on things like e-bay may not even receive them at all. Tickets aren't valid if they are sold for more than face value. Try this one
CTW Members Blink Posted April 3, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted April 3, 2003 Been to a couple of one-day festivals (Donnington Monster's of Rock & other stuff) and to be honest, I didn't enjoy them immensely....I don't like camping, mud, big groups of people, and [censored] bands. I just really am anal!!
