I've just read that report on the BBc site, and would just like to point out that they say it was Lisa Maffia on the bill, not SoSolidCrew (and about the only thing I remember from the Sunday night after north was that she did an interview in Mixmag asking peeps to not use guns).

I also find it disappointing that people on this site are refering to other genre's as "So called music". You may not like it, but it still has as much right to exist as any music you are into.

Finally, the report says that one of the cars involved was a BMW, and we all know what tossers BMW drivers are, so I reckon if we get rid of beamers, we will solve the problem!!

I know she is part of SoSolidCrew, but reporting that SSC were in the bill is just plain inaccurate. We need accurate reporting, so

IMO the unfortunate reality here is that it is currently seen as fashionable to carry guns into clubs, possibley due to to U.S. influences.

 

As British culture becomes more americanised, we pick up their trends as well.

 

R'n'B music is currently very trendy, and therefore a certain quantity of the ppl who consider themselves as "trendy" or "fashionable" and listen to this music will follow with other trends: ie guns.

 

What begins to worry me is that with the rise in popularity of house music, is this gun culture going to start to infect the club scene that we all know and love???

 

And if so how long do we have before shootings occur at Sunddissential, Goodgreef etc etc??????

and a m8 of mine from london sed the news report on BBC LDN sed the shootin happened in trade. i can't c a muscle mary shootin sum1 jus coz they've got bigger pecs than them. every1 in the press always assume that it's trade where the trouble starts. but it aint.
