agreed. I was made redundant too... luckily it was voluntary redundancy and I used the time to travel but it was still worrying not having cash coming in...

Yeah, ironically enough the company that laid me off took me back on two months later.

The MD decided that he didnt need a software development department anymore, so laid us all off, then while i was gone the got a new customer that needed some stuff doing.

 

Quite lucky really, as I wasnt getting any interest from anyone else

From my experience this is the outcome of being out of work for a siginificant amount of time.

 

1. you spend too much time thinking

2. you therefore question, either,

(i) why you are in a relationship if you are,

(ii) why you can't ever find anyone.

3. This means you end up single as you, either

(i) call it off with whomever you are going out with because you 'aren't sure', or

(ii) you try to find someone but you might as well have the word desperate tattoed on your forehead (you check in the mirror most mornings just in case_

4. You watch too much daytime television and actually start to relate to some of the trailer trash problems on trisha/vernon/jerry etc etc

5. You wank more than you have since you were revising for your gcse's (five times a day minimum

6. Your genitalia therefore gets very sore and this makes you even more convinced that you'll never find someone.

7. You eat cheese on toast every day, sometimes more than once.

8. You end up depressed

9. Your friends gradually stop seeing you as you're not much fun to be around.

10. RIP
