CTW Members IAHH1562627749 Posted May 15, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted May 15, 2003 right - you obviosuly already have a player listening to streaming music. you have to options if its shoutcast streaming (and possibly mp3 streaming) you can use special tools that integrate with things like winamp, and basically connect to the streamserver and save the data directly yto disk - just like doing a download. breaks in streams are handled and it works well :-) if you can't do this (like with windows media and some other things), you can record directly off your sound cards master out. you can then record from this as if you were recording an external source such as a tape. you can get by with a simple sound recorder thing and just record, but breaks in the stream will also be recorded. you can get monitoring tools, that can even be set up for recording at particular times if there is a mix at a time over night you particualry want to catcfh, i use this tool on http://www.tongsoft.com/ called mp3 recorder - its shareware, but hey - you jmight guess the registation key ;-) only trouble is, it records all wave out - ie it will record those dingly dingles you get when someone jons chat etc!!!! bewaare! have fun ;-) Quote cyber on the inside desperately trying to fit in on the outside hair by tony and guy
