I really don't expect to be called unintelligent by someone who can't spell. Like I said I'm not the one to pick up on ones spelling errors on a message board as typing here ain't like a written test or anything. However, the massive sense of hypocrisy I'm getting from Mr Happy leads me to do it. In short, don't give insults that can easily backfire. End of story.

Exceptions to the rule.   Look at a simple cross section of society, say a school year.   The intelligent people in a year have better literacy skills than those that aren't as clever.   Obviously you get dyslexic people that are intelligent yet can't spell for shit. I've never met anyone that's "extremely stupid", that has a confident and diverse command of language in either it's written or spoken form.   I've come across people that can parrot phrases to make them appear more intelligent than they actually are but they're quickly found out.
