2 weeks after global we both realised i'd left the shirt at dani's. oops.

 

over the course of about 3 months i sent her occasional emails saying "any chance of the shirt back" and got various "i can't show my face in town, you'll get it back"'s etc. i didn't want to sound like i was hassling since i didn't know dani well enough as a friend, and if the only time i got in contact with her was to say "where's my shirt" i thought i would be sounding harsh. if i knew that bad things where going on, i would have just drove up there, taken care of it, problem solved.

 

i wouldn't expect dani to inform me of any of the bad stuff she was having since it was none of my business, all i need was "phil I'm having troubles, you'll have to come and get it"

 

but all i got was "yeah I'll send it" "yeah I'll send it". by the time we all realised what had happened, 5 months later or so, it was too late.

 

it was my fault i left it there, 100%. but if i'd had a "phil ive got probs, you'll need to collect it yourself", i woulda got it, no questions asked. as it was,. the only time i actually saw dani while she had the shirt was me driving her to the station after visiting a mate up there.

 

it's only a £35 t shirt, a favourite t shirt, and one that they don't make any more so i can't replace it. there was just 'no need' for it to get gone.

 

my prob isn't REALLY the shirt, it's the fact i kind of consider i was blatantly "strung along" (re phrase if you want) and part is that when sum1 turns up saying "i'm buying loads of stuff" and you're £35 out of pocket (I'm NOT rich believe me) it's a bit poo. o well. wotever. dunt really matter. shit happens.

Dani of COURSE i'm sorry about your situation - i'd have to be a COMPLETE lovElY pErSoN not to be (although i had no idea about any of your situation through most of it), i just would have preferred if you were honest (at a basic level, details not needed) with me
