Hello there guys

I was a bit at lose end about clubbing this weekend and then saw Guyster's note about Liquid and Aquarium on Friday.

Does anyone know what is the dress code and are trainers ok, as my b/f isn't keen on wearing shoes when clubbing inlove.gif

Cheers

A.

Liquid is a small bar, there's no dress code, so dont stress about that one!

Not sure about the Aquarium, I've not been there for ages, maybe FAO Nick G as he seemed to know.

Hope that helps, be good to see you at Liquid smile.gif

Nick G: What's the dress code for friday night??

Aquarium chappie: Smart club wear

Nick G: Define *smart club wear* - are jeans and trainers allowed?

Aquarium chappie: Steer clear of jeans and trainers. Without trying to sound snobish, we like our patrons to dress smart, and no matter how trendy your jeans may be, they will never be smart! (I like his style!!!)

Nick G: ok, that's cleared that up nicely. What time are you open from, what music style is it and how much is entrance?

Aquarium chappie: We're open from 10 - 4, we'll be playing funky commercial house, and it's £8 on the door all night.

Nick G: Cheers mister.

Hope that helps thumbs.gif

Each to their own, but I happily strolled into Pacha with Jeans and trainers on (albeit new) and didn't look out of place.

If I can't wear something I feel comfortable in then I don't go! (mind you that's happeend about twice in the last 5 years!) lol.gif

this is why i hate going out in london - i hate dress codes ... never knowing where you can get into if your original plans fall through or if you decide you want to carry on somewhere else after a few drinks angryfire.gif

Steer clear of trainers and jeans? As Guyster said, each to their own so Nick please don't take this personally, but I think such attitude from clubs is wank.

Of course if that is what you feel most comfortable wearing, then great, rock on! But to make it compulsory for everyone.....

I am not convinced that makes the club any "nicer" or posher than if you let people wear normal, comfy clubwear. Turnmills has no such dress code, but the crowd still always looks great. The End is quite a glitzy club, but still people in trainers don't look out of place.

It's annoying - now we can't go to Aquarium bec. b/f refuses pointblank to go dancing wearing shoes frown.gif

After Liquid it'll have to be Turnmills, then. Not sure what music The Gallery has this Fri - James, it seems like you're going, do you know?

Fri 23rd May

>>> Room1: Tall Paul, Dave Seaman, B.K.,

Darren Christian, Margaret Dygas.

>>>>Room 2 : Going Places....

Javo Colors (Stereo Productions, Spain),

Danny Clark (The Remedy), Pear DJs.

BK's first ever set at the Gallery.... and if you like your house music then the back room will be wicked. It's hosted by movinghouseparty, and they're ace - esp the Pear DJs....

So should be ok wink.gif

notworthy.gif Having to dress up to go out is wank... That's why I don't bother going to snobbish places... grin.gif

I think I may just go to Heat on Friday (If I'm not going to Portsmouth that is), May come to Liquid first though...
