generally, the deportee is expected to pay. however, given the nature of the situation we're discussing, very often the deportee owes the state the entire cost of deportation (plane ticket, cost of detention etc.).

the fact is it's people like this that try and blackmail the system that makes real people that have proper claims for asylum that much harder. I'm all for proper claims. But as it has been mentioned asylum is where you set foot in a safe country away from the pressures that be in your home country that cause danger to life. NOT hey lets go to britian after travelling through so many other safe countries!!!!

dani just so that you know every asylum seeker that comes here gets £2500,a bank account a moblie phone they get arond £150-£200 a week and they do get to use the nhs oh and they have also got signed cheques from the dhs for £2500 to get cars with as they need 'transport'! the point that most people are making is that if we look after anyone first it should be the people from this country no ones having a go!! but when you see young lads walking around that should have stayied and fought for their country instead of running away!!! i know girls that have been attacked by kosovans with the quote 'thats what you english women are here for' and this was a teenager!!!! we let in asylum seekers and most are out for a free ride and you get the ones that even go on telly chanting abuse at us after we have been helping them thats why people are so annoyed with them!!!

and before anyone kicks off i would like 2 state now that i have NOT read the rest of the post but id like 2 air my views on imigrants.

 

i believe that we shud stop all imigration in2 this country. the main reason behind this is that terrosists (i.e. al-kieda) are using this as way of finding a route in2 the country.

 

also in regards 2 genuine imagrants the only reason they come here is because it is known that not only do we have the softest imagration laws but we also have the softest laws in regards 2 benefits.

 

at the end of the day how can any1 say it is right for people from other countries 2 come in2 our country and take homes and jobs that shud rightly belong 2 the british people. also by spending the tax payers hard earned money on bloody imigrants other services such as education the NHS etc suffer.

 

i think personally we shud take the same stance as australie who wudnt even let them in wen their ship was sinking.

 

SEND EM BACK WHERE THEY CAME FROM!!!

 

and im sorry if ive offended ne1 its just my personal views!

I'll say one thing in reply to this.

 

WHAT IF IT WAS YOU!!!!!!!!

 

How would you feel if you REALLY had to run from your country because you would be killed by a regime that wanted rid of you because of what you believed in, or what colour your skin was or because you were of a different nationality.

 

These people deserve our help. It is our duty as human beings to help each other. In WW2 the nazi regime wanted to exterminate all people that had disabilities, different colour of skin etc etc. We saw the atrostaties of this through the Jews. We look at Kosovo and Bosnia were again people were being erracted because of who they are. People that escape from such regimes are not simply spunging of our state but our in danger of losing their lives!!

 

It is people like you that make me sick, because they are narrow minded and have no compasion. YET if you were in thier situation for real, you would hate yourself for saying what you did.

 

Remember the system that should be in place is that each and every single one of them should be able to justify their claim. SO we are able to pick the people with real claims for asylems and those who are just wanting a easy ride!!
