How would you feel if you REALLY had to run from your country because you would be killed by a regime that wanted rid of you because of what you believed in, or what colour your skin was or because you were of a different nationality.

 

These people deserve our help. It is our duty as human beings to help each other. In WW2 the nazi regime wanted to exterminate all people that had disabilities, different colour of skin etc etc. We saw the atrostaties of this through the Jews. We look at Kosovo and Bosnia were again people were being erracted because of who they are. People that escape from such regimes are not simply spunging of our state but our in danger of losing their lives!!

 

It is people like you that make me sick, because they are narrow minded and have no compasion. YET if you were in thier situation for real, you would hate yourself for saying what you did.

 

Remember the system that should be in place is that each and every single one of them should be able to justify their claim. SO we are able to pick the people with real claims for asylems and those who are just wanting a easy ride!!

highlander if you read my first post on this you will see that i said some of the older generation are arrogant and that i myself had a conflict with one of them where he claimed i should do exactly what he said and that women should be ruled by men then you will know i know where your comin from but i also know that my mate kelly's boyfriend was not given a penny off the government as he came here before the war and has had to totally fend for himself.

yes i agree the ones who are playing on there claims should go back and ones who have commited crimes in this country or there own should face the consequences but what about the ones that have true reason.

come on you lot show a bit of heart i hope most of you will try and be a bit more human about things before slaggin people you dont even know.

My point,if a little vauge ,being that its impossible to define a true briton of pure stock because it dos'nt exist.

It also said that out of that, 8,100 people that year were recognised as a refugee and granted asylum, and that an additional 19,965 were not recognised as a refugee but were granted exceptional leave. So that's a total of 34%. Where did you get your figures from?

 

The nightclub Heaven in London has a capacity of 1500. So you'd need 5 and a half buildings the size of heaven nightclub to contain all those asylum seekers. Does that really sound like a huge problem? Given that the electoral roll contains about 55 million people? And that's aside from the implicit racism that could be found in a comment about where things would end, and the british men and women being a minority (what is a British person? Do they have white skin? Have they lived here for 20 years? 50 years? 100 years? 200 years?) It's a piece of land, not a eugenics laboratory... they are humans trying to live a better life. I know I'm trying to live a better life too.

 

I get nervous when I hear people shouting, and when I hear thunder. Imagine how long I'd last in Somalia with AK's blasting round my head. I'd do whatever I could to get to somewhere where that would never happen.
