CTW DJs Carl Nicholson Posted May 29, 2003 CTW DJs Share Posted May 29, 2003 The past 12 months have been a rollercoaster ride for the TDV trust’s Carl Nicholson, not only has he guested at some of the UK’s most prestigous harddance clubs such as Sundissential, Frantic & Insomniacz. He’s knocked up one of the biggest hard dance anthems of the year alongside James Lawson called “Times Like These” which was released by Nukleuz on the Hard Trance EP 2, and was featured on Lisa Lashes Extreme Euphoria 2 and Tidy Trax Resonate 2 compilation. Over Summer 2003, Carl will be gracing the white isle (Ibiza, that is!) where he has residency at the aptly named “Viva Le Trance” which is being held at Summum in San Antonio, and also he will be making a guest appearance at none other than Tonic at the world renound “Eden”!!! During this time his latest collaberation with Ali Wilson “Superstitious” will be getting its full release on Billy “Daniel” Bunters label, Honeypot Recordings on their UK Hard Trance EP imprint. Now to the point of this post, Carl is releasing his latest demo at the end of this week for prospectives bookings toward the end of the year, beginning of next!!! Carl at present has confirmed slots in Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester, London & Reading running up until October 03!!! Please look below to see what the clubbers/clubbing sites have to say and make your own minds up, if u are a promoter of an event and would like a demo pls email Carl on carl@carlnicholson.com , and he will get one out to you asap!!! Thanks for your time and see u in Ibiza!!! Harderfaster.net Next up a DJ who's been around since 1994 and someone who's dedication, enthusiasm and love of the scene is self evident from the moment you meet him to when you see one of his performances in a club. Carl Nicholson always gives it loads behind the decks, plays wicked tunes, mixes like a legend and is one of those characters who can lift a club up by it's ears and drag everyone to the front of the dancefloor - exactly the kind of person we were looking for in other words. Clubtheworld.com Next up, Carl Nicholson. Feeling a bit worse-for-wear before hand, feeling tired, but he indeed was capable of getting up there and showing us all what he was made of. The night was in full flow by this time. Everyone in the building was dancing away to the music, as their attention seemed to be drawn towards the DJ booth! Again, Carl wasn’t just a DJ, he was part of the crowd, giving it all he got and moving to the phat bass lines that were streaming out of the speakers. A tune that was remembered from Carls set was “The Dawn” By Tony De Vit. A well-known tune in clubland that all clubbers know, and appreciate so much each time it’s played. Hands went up in the air and everyone was loving it. Extreme Euphoria 2 James Lawson invited Carl Nicholson into the studio “Because Carl had such an amazing idea for a track that it just had to be realised!” With a spin from everyone from Lisa Lashes to Paul Van Dyke, this track has turned out to be one of the biggest anthems so far!
