ermmm NO!!! hows that suit you. I have no problem Laurence, you are the one, going through post's in the serious issues & changing them, as a joke, one on my behalf & two, I do not appreciate it, also, it states at the top of this forum to please try to keep it serious in here, this means, not taking peoples replies & changing them for fun.

I do not appreciate your comment about DJ's, so what ever opinion you have, either as you say, pm or keep them to yorself. thanx

Did anyone watch Pen and Tellers "Bullshit" on the new FOX channel FX?

They had a feature about the pro smoking and anti smoking groups in America, they were arguing that second hand smoke was dangerous/safe. Very interesting stuff.

The anti smoking lobby did make a bit of a balls up with their results about deaths caused by second hand smoke, well not so much a balls up as a reworking of the figures to suit their argument.

Can't remember the details, but it was interesting.

Doesn't surpise me.

Regardless of the health implications, other people's smoke makes my eyes sting, and my clothes stink. I don't go around flicking beer in people's faces!

I'd much prefer a smoke free environment when I go out, aswell. Hopefully this country will trial smoke free pubs, etc as was done in Ireland.

why should i breath in others smoke? its ok for the smokers to say, well dont come to a smokey place.......but to be honest if i did then id have to stay in my own house, why should i avoid going to the pub or out to eat?

yes some places have no smoking areas but smoke doesnt know where it can & cant go to, there is nothing there keeping it from drifting over to the childrens/eating areas

iv had this arguement with many a customer at the pub (who are down right ignorant & blow smoke over the bar into my face) there answer is not to work there or have more air con........why should we have more air conditioning in pubs? it causes more allergies such as hayfever & dust allergies & increases the spreading of airborn illness such as coughs, colds & virus's.....they would be the first to complain if there having problems breathing & cant have a good ole chuff on the bensons rolleyes.gif

I can see how it is for, non smokers & I do agree, it is not fair for those who do not smoke , to have to be subjected to it, but do you not think it is a wee bit uunfair to expect smokers, to not be able to go anywhere for a ciggie??

i think having a designated, ventilated area, is acceptable.

We have to breath car fumes etc everyday, as smokers too, whole different subject, I know, but!!

do you think its not a little bit unfair that i cant go anywhere to get a bit of clear air? especially when i work 20 hours a week where around 100 ciggies are smoked per hour easily?

there is laws about car exhausts & the amount of fumes there alowed to emit & the health risks are a damn sight lower than cigeratte smoke, thankfully i dont put my face near a car exhaust.......i doubt it would do me any favours tongue.gif

Smokers should get a smoking booth. It's fine with me if smokers want to smoke, but subject me to the smell, sore eyes, coughing up that stuff after a night out and any possible medical problems associated with smoking then I have no toleration.
