CTW Members 2tribes Posted June 4, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted June 4, 2003 As much as i love trance i prefer the old school. When goa and commercial trance skipped happily through a crowded dance floor together! Saying that i'm starting to hear good things coming from new Platipus' Euro label. But the Hard stuff scares me Bring back Perfecto Flouro
CTW DJs LiamStyles Posted June 4, 2003 CTW DJs Share Posted June 4, 2003 Im not a big fan of the whole old skool concept. I dont like looking back musically, its what makes musical genres stagnent and stops them from moving on. I prefer to look foward and find/produce/dj fresh music. Like old skool nights and compilation cds. the problem with most oldskool nights and cds r thay play the sterio type sound. they play the tunes that were big and not the tunes that were the actual sound. its like haveing a hardhouse night in 10 years time with just 'fukin hostile', 'revolution', 'over 4 me' etc. it owuld sound all cheesy and stupid. but every genre has tunes that rnt big but r nessesery to keep the set flowing etc. i hope that came out right as its always hard 4 me to explain things Quote Mr Happy's fishy fish MangaFish munch munch MSN & e-mail - mangafish@mangafish.net AOL - MangaMorgan Online mixes - http://www.mangafish.net/mixes/
CTW DJs LiamStyles Posted June 4, 2003 CTW DJs Share Posted June 4, 2003 Yeah i know what you mean, I just think its a cop-out on a promoters behalf, putting on an old skool night instead of putting on a up&coming DJ night (future talent that would push the scene 4ward) Quote LiamStyles Bet you look good on the dancefloor *LiamStyles - mixes on rotation* Current mix "No Concept Of Time" CLICK HERE
