That was pointed at u Chris because u attacked Miss.Creamy. eviltongue.gif

I however support most of Chris' views, Cheeky trax is quite possibly the most god-awful collection of vinyl shite ever made, just awful stuff basically. frown.gif

Your view of Ingo etc stuff a few years back being viewed as slowed down happyhardcore is a bit harsh, i think it definalty had its place within hard-dance and tunes like 'mindblowing' and 'faith' still lift the roof off any harddance night u drop them at.

Bookings contact Lisa @ Nukleuz on 02077207320

  • 13th @ Serge's Studio (Fevah)

I would like to point out that regardless of whether a DJ is my best mate or my girlfriend my views will ALWAYS remain the same. Ask Alison how many arguments we have over this, I hardly agree with what she says noe because shes wrong but because we have different views. The same applies with everyone else. I wont arselick for the sake of not upsetting people.

In a strange way m8y, u've just written a double-negative, thus making no sense. laugh.gif

Made sense to me... shrug.gif

There are way too many youngsters (read 21 and below) nowadays who think they know everything about music... It's over the next 10 years of their life they will learn, but only if they are open to learning something else (which most aren't IMO)

Yeah!

*shakes zimmer frame*

And that is why in all seriousness I have so much respect for you. Neither of us will change our views just to back up the other.

I think Stimulant DJ's are the only one we agree on!

And BTW, I have played Kavin several cheeky trax and he has always liked them, although without knowing the name.

Rick, I agree with the young people thing, but I would not iclude myself in that, as although I am only 22, I have been listening (and loving) underground dance music since '93

I'M HUNGRY!

I think it's pathetic the snobbery that goes on in dance music, and Hard House - unless music is "serious", you don't listen to it?

I agree about snobbery - I do not make the arbitrary distinction between "serious" and "non-serious" music. Quality quote from Seb Fontaine (who, despite the flak he gets, is one of my favourite DJs):

"I’d rather play good pop music than bad dance music."

However perhaps the point is, this Cheeky Trax stuff is bad dance music...? (the worst of both worlds, i.e. derivative/uncreative AND cheesy/"sell-out"). Trying to argue it is good because it is "fun" or because lots of people like it, is like saying R Kelly is good because "Ignition" reached number one (umm, three guesses which is my least favourite pop tune at the moment...) grin.gif

Derivative hard house really turns me off, just as cliched "uplifting" trance actually has a totally non-uplifting effect on me. Not because it's not "serious", not because I'm a music snob, but because I genuinely can't stand hearing music without an ounce of originality. shrug.gif

Maybe......but it still sounds like 150bpm scooter-happy-hardcore.....

Just because it makes people dance doesnt actually make it a good track!

1. I never attacked LMC personally at all.....

2. im younger then 21, a student, and probably know a hell of a lot more about the scene then most.... age has nothing to do with these things!

Surely that comment should be aimed at those who only liked hardhouse because it was the 'in' thing.... confused.gif Hell, if I wanted to be popular, I wouldnt be playing the stuff I do!
