(Try counting in your head.) Now, it may be that there several kick drums to each beat, but that would not count as a higher BPM. (Loads of hard house tunes have "kick rolls".) However if somebody posts a link to the tune, I will check it out and give you an informed "music student" perspective on the contentious BPM issue!!
