It means funky in the sense its not industrial, headbangin gear. This is all top draw tunage.

 

"Tomaz & Filterheadz - Sunshine" is as funky as it gets.

 

Seriosly this is a cd you should all check out, One thing i hate about the techno scene is most of it is very cliquey and contrived. But Ferg is knocking those boundries down by simply not being too serious. This is where techno falls down in my book - takes itself too seriously.

funky techno can be (and usually is) dirty filthy stuff still. not like funky house vs house house
